Stephen's Family - June, 2003
Great great great grandson of Franz Xavier Boeding (1796 - 1878)
Stephen Joseph Boeding was born December 31, 1952 in Sheldon, Iowa. His parents, Kenneth John Boeding and Rosella Marie Weir, were living in Grand Island, Nebraska where Stephen eventually attended Catholic schools through the 9th grade. After moving to Aurora, Nebraska in the summer of 1968, Stephen graduated in the top ten percent of his class at Aurora High School in May of 1971.
Following two years in the Army, Stephen attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. While in school, he was a member of the Nebraska National Guard in a medical evacuation unit. He became interested in flying and enlisted in the Army warrant officer flight program, becoming a helicopter pilot in May of 1977. He spent the next three years on active duty at Fort Hood, Texas. While at Fort Hood, Stephen completed his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science in May of 1980.
Programming jobs followed his active military service, one at Fort Hood, another in Tyler, Texas and eventually landing him in Dallas. In 1983, Stephen met Nancy Jo Amato. They were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, Texas on June 30, 1984. During that same year, Stephen started a computer software consulting business, incorporating in the state of Texas as Boeding Corporation on April 30, 1985. The family has grown to include five children.
Steve is very active in the Catholic church and the local parish school. At various times, he has served on the parish finance committee and has coached basketball, soccer and volleyball for teams connected with the school.
Every year the family Christmas list grows larger, in 1998 we sent our Christmas letter to 98 families. We also have an Internet version for 1997 and 1998, and now 2003.
